Please be advised that this note is current as of 1st February 2021.
Please read the ‘Parental Guide’ below which sets out the school organisation regarding remote teaching.
The return to class after the Christmas holidays will be under remote tuition protocol for GS, CP, CE1-CE2 and CM1-CM2 classes. All afterschool clubs for these levels are cancelled.
We are however happy to keep our Early Years levels open, eg. PS and some pupils from MS classes born after the 31/08.
After the half term holidays, teaching will continue with the same structure as in these recent weeks. For clarity, if your child was being taught remotely, this will continue. Similarly the school will continue to welcome the same nursery pupils. Teaching will resume on Monday the 22nd of February after 2 weeks of holidays.
Regarding a possible return date for all the levels, the Government has announced schools may reopen on the 8th of March. We will communicate as soon as possible on this return date.
In regard to remote teaching, we will use our previous lockdown experience to offer the best possible educational continuity in the current circumstances. We know that is not ideal and we appreciate each household has different needs and expectations. Rest assured that our team is engaged and motivated to be as flexible as possible.
It is important to emphasize that each of us has a role to play in preventing COVID-19. Applying protection measures and following school or public health instructions, such as wearing a face mask and washing hands more often, have become civic health measures ensuring both individual and collective protection. We therefore encourage you to follow all these measures carefully.
Regarding attendance, we ask you not to bring your child if he or she suffers from one or more of the following symptoms:
Loss of Taste or Smell
In this particular context of COVID-19, the school is doing everything possible to welcome pupils in a safe environment. All the important information is available in our protocol (Please click here).
We will also ask you, as outlined in the protocol, to participate in the NHS test and trace process if COVID-19 is suspected. These restrictions are intended to limit the spread of viruses within groups as much as possible and to provide better protection for pupils and staff. The school community will thus be able to maintain the best possible educational functioning by preventing the occurrence of cases and the closure of ‘bubbles’.
