La Petite Ecole Française (PEF) is an independent French school that follows the French national education system and enables its students to progress to existing French speaking schools in London. PEF became part of the French Education Nationale ‘Homologation’ in 1997.
The school caters for 110 children from the age of 3 to 8, after which they progress to the Lycee Français or Ecole Primaire Jacques Prévert. There are currently two Petite Section classes, a Moyenne Section class, a Grande Section class, a mixed Moyenne-Grande Section class and a Cours Préparatoire. La Petite Ecole Française was founded in 1983. At the end of June 2010 the school relocated from Oxford Gardens to 73 Saint Charles Square. The school operates from two ground floor buildings, which have been extensively refurbished, whilst maintaining a homely feel.
Entry is non-selective and we invite those who are interested to make an appointment with the office to visit the school. However, as the school follows the French national education system and the majority of the lessons are in French, the children are expected to be conversant in French prior to joining the school.
We are delighted to announce that from September 2011, La Petite Ecole Française will extend its classes to include the Primary school age range. From…
